Technical Support Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA 

Confident Technologies is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to engage with customers and help deploy Confident Technologies' image-based authentication solutions on customer websites and mobile applications.

No relocation pay is available for this position. This is an office-based position in San Diego.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Support the deployment and on-boarding of new customers.

Work with customers and end-users to understand system requirements.

Will be required to analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to help customers deploy our web-based authentication technologies.

Communicate and document customer technical support issues and system requirements.

Support the Engineering team with testing and QA.

Limited support of pre-sales and business development for new business opportunities.

Limited travel to customer sites to support installation, training, integration, test, and demonstration.

Experience Required:

Candidate should be self-motivated and work well both individually and in a team environment.

Ability to work on multiple projects at one time.

At least a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 3 - 5 years of software support and development (Level 1 and Level 2).

Experience working with customers to provide training, demonstrations and technical guidance.

Specific Requirements:

• Web and Development: 3 - 5+ years of software support and development experience

• Languages: PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML.  .Net experience is a plus.

• OS: Unix, Linix, Windows

• Experience with web content management systems (CMS) such as Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress is a plus.
