Confident Out-of-Band Verification provides strong multi-factor authentication without the high cost and complexity of hardware tokens or key fobs. During the registration process or at the start of an online transaction from an unrecognized device, users can receive an out-of-band verification process through:
- A secure one-time password delivered by text message or an automated call to their pre-registered telephone number, or
- An automated call to their pre-registered telephone number, providing the user simple instructions to be authenticated with a one key log-in.
